Moon cycle
As a compromise between peaceful and the difficulty posed by Zombie Awareness and Rough Mobs, hostile mobs are only enabled during the full moon, once every 8 days.
Geolosys
The Geolosys mod is in use, making ore generate in large, per-chunk veins. Look for surface samples to find ore veins underground.
Modpack
Thanks to dequbed, we have an auto-updating MultiMC pack using XDjackieXD/Kilobyte22’s PackUpdate.

The IRC channel for the server is #SKSDev on irc.esper.net (webchat).
The Mumble channel for the server is the Minecraft channel on mumble.shadowkat.net. New sub-channels may be created as necessary.

Host system
The test server is running on a relatively beefy host server (below) with a 50Mbps connection.
OS: Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye) x86_64
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1231 v3 (8) @ 3.800GHz
Memory: 24GiB
The Minecraft server itself is running in a container on said host with no strict memory or CPU limitations, under OpenJDK 8, and monitored with collectd and Grafana.
